For IMMEDIATE HIRING: The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman is looking for one (1) full-time non-UP contractual Technical Assistant. 

Job Description

  • Assist in setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audio-visual equipment (computers, microphones, laptops, projectors, speakers, lights and sound control panel, etc.) of the GT-Toyota Asian Center auditorium, seminar rooms, and galleries for events, lectures, and/or classes at the UP Asian Center, which start at 5:00 p.m. and end at 8:00 p.m.

  • Work Tuesdays to Saturdays or, if necessary or upon client request, beyond regular office hours, including Sundays, for special events held by and at the UP Asian Center.

Key Qualifications

  • Job experience and competencies involving setting up, operating, and troubleshooting audiovisual equipment

  • Preferably with skills and experience in electronics/electrical/computer work

The Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
