The Chinese Embassy in Manila is holding the “Hello, China: An International Photo Exhibition Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the People’s Republic of China” from 4-8 November 2019 at the UP Asian Center, QC. The exhibit is free and open to the public.

As part of PRC's 70th anniversary activities, the Chinese Embassy is also calling for submission of entries for the “Hello China Vlog Contest.” The contest is open to all Filipinos. Deadline of submission is 1 December 2019.

ABOUT THE EXHIBIT

The exhibit showcases the transformation of China into a modern and rich country in East Asia, identifying the endeavors and leadership of the Communist Party of China since the PRC’s founding in 1949. It also highlights the significance of socialism in Chinese society, and shows the ideology’s role in the unfolding of Chinese history and implementation of reforms by China in the era of modernization.

VLOG CONTEST GUIDELINES

1. Like the Chinese Embassy Facebook Page

2. Create 1-5 minute vlog around the theme, “Hello, China.” It can be a showcase of Chinese food, culture or tourist spots in China.

3. Upload the vlog to your personal Facebook Page with the ff. hashtags: #ChembaVlogContest #CNPHFriendship2019 #70Years.

4. Invite your friends to like and share your entry.

The Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
