    As part of the 70th anniversary celebration of the UP Asian Center, the roundtable discussion focuses on the history and the pioneers who have shaped the Asian Center over the years. This round table serves as a look back at the center's colorful past, as well as a look ahead to its future direction. The event aims to provide a platform for scholarly exchange and critical discussion. The roundtable discussion also aims to provide the audience with the opportunity to learn more about the center's history and its notable scholars.

The UP Asian and the Japan Foundation Manila are now accepting submissions for the "3rd Nationwide Japanese Studies  Research Competition." The deadline for submission is extended until 30 January 2021, 5 pm.

The UP Asian Center will be holding “Toyota in the Philippines: 30 Years and Beyond in Nation-building | Lecture and Book Launch” on 17 December 2020, 2–4 pm (Philippine time) via Zoom.

The replay of the lecture, “Finding Intimacy in Asian History: Notes on Pain and Pleasure,” and the virtual launch of the "Dr. Peter Boomgaard Southeast Asia Collection,"  held on 25 November 2020, is now available on YouTube.
