    The UP Asian Center will be holding the onsite public lecture and exhibit "From Negatives to Narratives: The Analog Heritage of the Asian Centeron 23 February 2026, 1:00 - 3:30 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The exhibit will be displayed at the Hall of Wisdom lobby from 23 to 28 February 2026. The event is free and open to the public. Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited seating.

The UP Asian Center is saddened to report the passing of Dr. Mario I. Miclat, former dean (2009–2011) and Professor of the UP Asian Center. He was 71.

We are inviting everyone to participate in the Public Forum on the Search for the Next Asian Center Dean on 06 April 2021 (Tuesday) from 8:00 am–10:00 a.m via Zoom.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman welcomes abstracts for an international conference, "Scripts in Asia: c. 1500–2000," which will be held—via Zoom—from 27 to 28 April 2021. No submission fees.

The conference, “Sabang: Early Southeast Asian-European Intercultural Encounters,” — to be held via Zoom from 18 to 20 March 2021— will look at early modern Philippine history in its global and Southeast Asian context.

As part of International Women's Day, the Asian Center would like to showcase the various articles on women, gender, and sexuality that it has published since 1963. All the PDFs of the article are available for FREE.
