 To promote the health of its employees, the UP Asian Center launched on 29 April 2022 its Physical Fitness and Wellness Program. It features Zumba and Karate sessions, which are led every Friday of the month, from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at the Asian Center grounds.
The Physical Fitness and Wellness Program also aims to improve the camaraderie, and the emotional and psychosocial health of the Asian Center faculty, administrative personnel, custodial employees, and other staff.
The Zumba session was led by the Dean of the UP Asian Center, Dr. Henelito A. Sevilla, Jr, whlie Jessie Gines, a Karate black belter, facilitated the Karate session, which covers basic self-defense, and a series of punching and kicking exercises. About 20 employees attended the first session on 29 April 2022.
The Physical Fitness and Wellness Program was conducted in the spirit of CSC Memorandum Circular 28, dated 30 September 1992, Physical and Mental Fitness Program for Government Personnel, which requires government agencies to conduct activities that promote the health and well-being of their employees.

  The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia and West Asia. The UP Asian Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. It also offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
