Job Opportunity: University Research Associate II @ UP Asian Center
The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman is looking for one (1) University Research Associate II. The deadline for applications is on 25 November 2024. This is open to the public. Requirements must be submitted to the UP Diliman - HRDO.
OVERVIEW AND WORK HOURS
• The University Research Associate II shall assist the Office of the Dean and/or Assistant to the Dean in research projects and other related tasks.
• Work schedule is Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
• AB or BS degree relevant to the nature of the work in the position plus eighteen (18) units of graduate work completed with no experience required; or
• AB or BS degree relevant to the nature of the work in the position plus six (6) units of graduate work completed with two (2) years of experience in mid-level research operations, or as University Research Associate I; or
• AB or BS degree relevant to the nature of the work in the position with three (3) years of experience in mid-level research operations, or as University Research Associate I
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• To undertake institutional research projects under the supervision of the Dean and Assistant to the Dean.
• Assist in monitoring the status of research projects of the Center and assist the faculty in-charge with research projects.
• Systematically build a databank of research materials.
• Assist in the preparation of research proposals and reports and other publication-related tasks.
• Perform other tasks as may be assigned by the Dean.
TRAINING AND ELIGIBILITY
• Training and Eligibility are not required for the position.

9. E-copy of previous and current Employment Certificates with duties and responsibilities, if applicable.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The UP Asian Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies.
