Graduate students and alumni of the UP Asian Center served as reactors at the 2nd Junior Conference on Chinese Studies held last 16 November 2015 at Faber Hall, Ateneo de Manila University. They commented on various China-related papers by Chinese Studies students of the Ateneo de Manila University.

Carrying the theme “Chinese Studies in Southeast Asian Countries”, the 2nd Junior Conference for Chinese Studies aims to capture the interest of Filipino undergraduate students in pursuing China as an area of study, as well as foster interdisciplinary topics about Chinese Studies. Furthermore, the conference provides a venue for Filipino undergraduate students to showcase their research on China-related topics.

The Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. The Center offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
