Dr. Henelito A. Sevilla, Jr., Assistant Professor at the Asian Center, took part in the 2014 Korean Unification for Junior International Experts (KUJIE) from 1 July to 10 July 2014 in South Korea.

Organized by the Institute for Unification Education of the Ministry of Unification and sponsored by the Korea Foundation, KUJIE featured, among other activities, lectures on various aspects of unification and sought to “reach an international consensus on the Korean unification and consolidate cooperation with the international community” and to “share views of the overseas junior experts on the peace and unification of the Korean peninsula.”

One of the activities of the ten-day program is the International Academic Conference on Korean Unification, in which Dr. Sevilla served as one of the discussants for Session 2, “Unification of the Korean Peninsula and Cooperation with International Community.”
