The Asian Center held two lectures on international relations for eighty-five students from the Mindanao State University Marawi last 19 May 2014. The lectures were held from 8:00 am to 12 noon at the Seminar Room of the Hall Wisdom, GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center, Asian Center.

The first lecture was delivered by Professor Noe Pobadora, chair of the Department of Foreign Service, New Era University. The second presentation, Trends and Prospects of Powers’ Rivalry and Cooperation in International relations, was given by Dr. Henelito Sevilla, Assistant Professor at the Asian Center. Dr. Sevilla, who oversees the West Asian studies graduate program of the Asian Center, coordinated the event and made the necessary preparations. Giving his reactions were Professor Saripada Pacol, Department of International Relations, King Faisal Center for Islamic, Arabic, and Asian Studies, where the students are taking up  Bachelor of Science of International Relations.

Each year since 2012, MSU students have attended these lectures at the Asian Center. The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, offers M.A. and Ph.D programs in Philippine Studies, as well as masters degrees in Asian Studies covering any of four regions: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
