The international conference, “Rhetoric of Creative Partnership: Conversations on Cross-cultural Artistic Exchanges,” will be held on 14-15 November 2019 at the UP Asian Center, QC. The academic gathering will feature panel presentations from local and international art practitioners about the creative processes and collaboration in the performing arts. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first servedwalk-ins are welcome.

The conference is a venue for artists, scholars and enthusiasts to discuss artistic cross-cultural partnerships and artistic processes. It highlights the role of artists as cultural producers, as well as the need for actual practitioners to directly engage audiences and communities without intermediaries.

The Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. The Center offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
