Seven MA and nine PhD graduates were conferred their degrees in the first ever virtual Recognition Ceremonies of the UP Asian Center and the Philippine Studies Tricollege Program. The recordings of the ceremonies, in line with the university's theme "Maglingkod, Magmalasakit, Manindigan," were streamed on 26 July 2020.
The guests of honor were Dr. Caroline S. Hau of the Center for Southeast Asian Studies in Kyoto University for the MA Program, and Dr. Jaime Z. Galvez Tan for the PhD Philippine Studies Program. All graduates also delivered short video messages during the ceremonies.

The UP Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. The Center offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
