ABOUT THE EVENT
As one of the colleges in the university’s Diliman campus, the UP Asian Center is an academic unit devoted to area studies. Established in 1955 as the Institute of Asian Studies, the UP Asian Center offers M.A. programs in Asian Studies and on Philippines Studies. This event aims to discuss about the UP Asian Center and its Master's programs, courses offered, the faculty, research and creative work, resources, and scholarship opportunities. Apart from this, the TriCollege Ph.D. Philippine Studies Program will also be discussed

The UP Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia. The Center also has an M.A. program in Philippine Studies that allows students to major in Philippine society and culture, Philippine foreign relations, or Philippine development studies. The Center offers a Ph.D. program in Philippine Studies in conjunction with the College of Arts and Letters and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy.
