ABOUT THE EVENT
As one of the colleges in the university’s Diliman campus, the UP Asian Center is an academic unit devoted to area studies. Established in 1955 as the Institute of Asian Studies, the UP Asian Center offers M.A. programs in Asian Studies and on Philippines Studies. Together with the UP Diliman College of Arts and Letters (CAL), and the College of Social Sciences and Philosophy (CSSP), the Center also offers the TriCollege Ph.D. Phillippine Studies Program, established in 2004.
Just in time for the first semester AY 2024-2025 admissions, the UP Asian Center and the TriCollege Ph.D. Philippine Studies program, jointly organize this webinar to discuss about the UP Asian Center and the TriCollege Program, the master’s and Ph.D. programs they offer, the faculty and lecturers, research and creative work, resources and facilities, and scholarship opportunities.
This event aims to showcase the programs and resources offered by the UP Asian Center and the TriCollege Ph.D. Program. It also seeks to orient interested scholars from the Philippines and abroad about the graduate-level programs and processes.
