The UP TriCollege PhD Philippine Studies Program and the UP Asian Center will hold a Writing Bootcamp on 7 and 14 December 2024, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM, PST (GMT+8) at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center. The event is FREE OF CHARGE. Limited slots are available. Registrations are on a first-come, first-serve basis. All registrants are expected to attend the two-day boot camp. The deadline for registration is on 5 December 2024.

 WHAT IS A WRITING BOOT CAMP?

The TriCollege and AC Writing Bootcamp is a two-day course that provides students a focused, distraction-free environment where graduate students can make progress on thesis, dissertation, journal articles, and other paper writing. The BootCamp set-up shall be at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center, a classroom setup to better set the tone of the academic experience. Students are encouraged to think of this activity as a "getaway" of sorts where you develop your writing practice and get a lot of writing done. This activity specifically aims to:
•   To offer graduate students a safe, cozy, and distraction-free space to focus on thesis, dissertation, journal article, and other paper writing.
•   To inspire students to progress on their writing tasks through practical tips and motivational insights from expert speakers.
•   To build a sense of support and shared experience by allowing students to share their writing progress and receive feedback.
•   To incentivize productivity by providing food and coffee!

The UP Asian Center offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
