The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the Embassy of Japan in the Philippines and the UP Center for International Studies, presents the Special Cultural Performance of Nihon Buyo Senju (日本舞踊 扇寿流) on 14 March 2025, 6:00 PM, PHT (GMT+8), at the UP School of Statistics Auditorium, UP Diliman, Quezon City. The event is free and open to the public, but PRE-REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED due to limited slots. Walk-ins are NOT ALLOWED.

ABOUT NIHON BUYO SENJU

Nihon Buyo Senju (日本舞踊 扇寿流) is a school of Japanese traditional arts founded in 1999. It is led by its Director, SENJU Einojo, who is also a traditional dance and shamisen instructor. The group has performed across the globe, including European countries and the Philippines, sharing Japanese classical performances such as kabuki, dance, shamisen, and folk songs. Read more.
The Embassy of Japan in the Philippines presents Nihon Buyo Senju to Manila for special cultural performances at the University of the Philippines Diliman and SM Aura on March 14 and 15, 2025, respectively. The event is free and open to the public as part of its cultural promotion efforts.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman offers M.A. degrees in Asian Studies with four fields of specialization: Northeast Asia, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia.
