The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman, is looking for one (1) Senior Office Aide. The deadline for applications is 12 May 2026. This is open to the public. Requirements must be submitted to the UP Asian Center Administrative Office.

OVERVIEW AND WORK HOURS

    • The Senior Office Aide shall coordinate and manage the booking of the Center's facilities and the coordination of related services to external clients and assist the AC Research and Extension Office, and other related tasks.
    • Work schedule is Mondays to Fridays, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
    • The position is for a limited engagement (May to October 2026; 6 months of work only).
    • Must be willing to report to the office as soon as hired

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree relevant to the job
    • Relevant experience to the job
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and/or Filipino
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and knowledge of Google Workspace applications
    • Strong organizational skills to manage assigned duties & responsibilities. 
    • Attention to detail to ensure deliverables.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Assist in the management of the booking of the Center's facilities and the coordination of related services to external clients.
    • Assist in the conduct of AC events and activities (including but not limited to pre- and post-event preparations and documentation, promotions and marketing, and coordination with organizers and participants)
    • Assist the Information Officer in content creation and information dissemination
    • Provide editorial and administrative support for the Asian Center’s publication-related and other academic initiatives
    • Provide administrative support for project operational processes, including budget approvals, payments, reimbursements, procurement of supplies and equipment.
    • Perform tasks related to the extension work of the Asian Center
    • Communicate with offices within and outside the University on matters related to extension work
    • Perform other tasks that may be assigned by the Dean, Assistant to the Dean for Research and Extension, Editor-in-Chief, and/or the Information Officer.
