Wherever I am, the world comes after me.
It offers me its busyness. It does not believe that I do not want it.
Now I understand
why the old poets of China went so far
and high
into the mountains, then crept into the pale mist.

“Regional security and community-building issues in the Asia-Pacific are very complex,” says Professor Baviera, who herself has published extensively on such issues. “This exhibit helps raise awareness of these matters by giving us a glimpse of the broader context under which the Philippines conducts its own affairs. The issues discussed have direct and indirect implications on Philippine society, foreign policy, security, and economy, and understanding them can help us develop sound and appropriate policies.”
