The UP Asian Center will hold a public lecture, “Right-Wing Populism and the Eclipse of Democracy in India: Issues and Prospects” at the UP Asian Center, Quezon City, 20 August 2019, 2–4 pm. The lecture is free and open to the public.

The Defend Negros #StopTheAttacks Network will hold a public forum, “Pagdampig: Negros Human Rights Situationer” at the UP Asian Center, Quezon City, 1 August 2019, 2 pm. The lecture is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Walk-ins are welcome but encouraged to sign up.

Thirty-one new graduate students of the UP Asian Center undertook an orientation last 27 July 2019, 2:30 pm–5:00 pm, at the Philippines Hall, Hall of Wisdom, Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman.

Twenty-two MA graduates and four newly minted PhDs took part in Aning Tagumpay, Salaysay ng Alay, the 2019 Recognition Day held on 30 June 2019 at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center, Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman.
