The UP Asian Center will be holding the roundtable-book launch of Power and Knowledge in Southeast Asia: State and Scholars in Indonesia and the Philippines  on 12 November 2019 at the UP Asian Center, QC. The event is free and open to the public.

The UP Asian Center will hold free screenings of West Asian films, "Laces" and Two Hearts as One" on 12 November 2019, 3 – 7 pm, at the ASEAN Hall, UP Asian Center, QC. The screenings are free and open to the public.

The UP Asian Center is accepting entries for the “Asia 4.0: A Photo Contest” from 15 October – 8 November 2019. The competition is open to anyone. A maximum of 2 original photo submissions per participant will be accepted.  

The Japan Foundation and the UP Asian Center are calling for submissions of Japan-related research for the “Japanese Studies in the Philippines: The 2020 Nationwide Research Competition.” The competition is open to Filipino students enrolled in colleges and universities across the Philippines.

The international academic conference, “Rhetoric of Creative Partnership: Conversations on Cross-cultural Artistic Exchanges,” will be held on 14-15 November 2019 at the UP Asian Center, QC. The event is free and open to the public.
