The UP Asian Center in partnership with the UP Department of Political Science will be holding the webinar, "Vietnam’s Strategy: Power Rivalry, China’s Diplomacy, and Economic Relations" on 1 August 2024, 10:00 AM, PHT (GMT+8), via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public but signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required.

Hosted by the University of the Philippines Diliman led by the UP Asian Center, the Consortium for Southeast Asian Studies in Asia (SEASIA)  is Calling for Participants for its 5th Biennial International Conference with the theme "De/Centering Southeast Asia." Attendance requires payment of registration fees. 

The UP Asian Center commemorates the passing of Mr. Roderick G. Orlina, an influential scholar of Southeast Asian epigraphy, and generous donor of significant academic works to the UP Asian Center Library.

UP Asian Center faculty Dr. Matthew M. Santamaria is the choreographer and co-director of Tanghalang Ateneo’s Sintang Dalisay. The event will run for six days in July (6-7, 12-14, and 18-20) at Hyundai Hall (Soledad V. Pangilinan Arts Wing of Areté), Ateneo de Manila University.

The UP Asian Center in partnership with the UP Institute for Islamic Studies and the Moro-Palestinian Cooperation Team will hold the cultural festival, AHLAN WA SALAN  (Everyone is Welcome): Food Festival, Art Exhibit, and Stories of Filipino-Palestinian Families on 30 June 2024 at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Diliman. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Walk-ins are welcome, but participants are encouraged to register online.
