The UP Asian Center in partnership with Japan Foundation Manila will be hosting a webinar via Zoom, "REFUGE OR REFUSE?: Afghanistan and Japan’s Racialized State Control” on 10 October 2022, 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm, Philippine Standard Time. The webinar is free and open to the public. Registration and signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman is looking for one (1) graduate assistant for the Dean’s Office for the First Semester, AY 2022–2023. The deadline of applications is on 30 September 2022. This is open to all UP Diliman graduate students. AC graduate students are highly encouraged to apply.

The UP Asian Center will offer free Korean language classes which will be held every Saturday starting 10 September 2022 to 17 December 2022, via Zoom. Applications for limited slots are open to all, but priority will be given to UP Asian Center students. The classes are offered courtesy of the Asia Center, Seoul National University through the generous support of Korea Foundation. The deadline of submissions is on 7 September 2022, 5:00 PM, PHT.

The UP Asian Center is instituting an annual course programming starting First Semester AY 2022-2023. To support this initiative, we are publishing a consolidated material that contains details of our course offerings, course descriptions, and faculty and lecturers profiles. This serves as a resource material to guide students in planning their courses and navigating their programs at the center.
