    UP Asian Center Professor Gonzalo A. Campoamor II, Ph.D., has been conferred the 2026 Gawad Tsanselor para sa Natatanging Mananaliksik sa Filipino, one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded to the UP Diliman faculty for their exemplary accomplishments and contributions to their respective fields. The awarding ceremonies will be held on 8 May 2026, and can be watched live via the official UP Diliman website and YouTube Channel.

The UP Asian Center successfully held a face-to-face Student Orientation for newly admitted students for the First Semester of Academic Year 2023-2024 on 30 September 2023, at the Seminar Room, GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center. The activity sought to familiarize 33 new graduate students with the Center’s academic programs and policies, resources, and facilities.

Matsushita Foundation Japan Study Tour.” Deadline of submissions is EXTENDED to 9 October 2023, Monday, 5:00 PM. Selected students will join an all-expense paid study tour in the Kansai area of Japan in December 2023.
