Wherever I am, the world comes after me.
It offers me its busyness. It does not believe that I do not want it.
Now I understand
why the old poets of China went so far
and high
into the mountains, then crept into the pale mist.

News @ UP Asian Center

It’s still a little over a month before registration, but this early, we’d like to advise you to do the following to help ensure a smooth the (pre)enlistment process and minimize delays in your registration.

The UP Asian Center will be holding a webinar, “Decolonizing International Relations: Conversations on Asian (Non-Western) Connections" on 13 August 2021, 2 pm–5 pm, Philippine Standard Time.

As part of our/your preparations for the coming semester, we have compiled a few things-to-know-and-do for new students.

Twelve M.A. students of the UP Asian Center and six from the Tri-College PhD Philippine Studies Program comprised the graduating class of 2021 and were honored in two separate virtual recognition ceremonies.

The UP Asian Center joins the university and the art community in mourning the passing of Professor Leonilo Doloricon (1957–2021), artist, teacher and former dean of the College of Fine Arts, University of the Philippines Diliman, and alumnus of the UP Asian Center.
