For IMMEDIATE HIRING: The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman is looking for one (1) full-time non-UP contractual Research Assistant for the Academic Program Improvement Project. The research assistant will serve as a member of the project staff from August to December 2022 (5 months).

UP Asian Center faculty and staff were given special awards and recognition for their outstanding service and contribution to the UP Diliman community during the 2022 Linggo ng Parangal held last 20 to 24 June 2022 in UP Diliman both virtually and on-site.

Mr. Asnawi Maamor and Mr. George Michael Regino, graduates of the UP Asian Center Philippines Studies Program, were conferred the Order of Lapu-Lapu with the rank of Kamagi by Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte.

Prof. Tina Clemente, Ph.D., UP Asian Center Professor and current Assistant to the Dean for Academic Affairs was awarded the 2022 Gawad Tsanselor sa Natatanging Guro, one of the most prestigious distinctions awarded to the UP Diliman faculty for their exemplary accomplishments and contributions to their respective fields.

The UP Asian Center will be hosting a webinar via Zoom, “ASEAN, the Quad, and AUKUS: A View from Australia” on 23 June 2022, 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (Philippine Standard Time, GMT+8). The event is free and open to the public.
