  • Viva Palestina! | A Solidarity Event for Palestine

    The UP Asian Center in partnership with the Philippines-Palestine Friendship Association (PPFA), will be holding "Viva Palestina! A Solidarity Event for Palestineon 22 March 2026. The discussion and side events will be held from 1 - 5 PM, while the solidarity concert will be from 5 - 8 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium. Tickets are priced at 150 Pesos, but donations more than the amount is welcome. Proceeds from the event will go toward supporting solidarity campaigns and initiatives for the Palestinian cause.

The UP Asian Center will be holding a virtual launch—via Zoom—of the online exhibit, “Collecting Histories: Gems from the Asian Center Art Collection” on 22 November 2021, 3:00pm to 6:00pm, Philippine Standard Time. 

Celebrate with us on our 66th birthday! As part of its celebration, there will be a month-long series of online activities (via Zoom) that are free and open to the public.

The UP Asian Center will be hosting a webinar via Zoom, “Geopolitical Competition in Central Asia and Its Implications to the Middle East, Russia, South Asia, and East Asia” on 9 November 2021,  2:00 pm–5:00 pm (Philippine Standard Time).

The UP Asian Center is looking for one (1) graduate assistant. Deadline of applications is on 15 November. The graduate student is expected to start at the soonest possible time after the necessary papers are processed.

The UP Asian Center is accepting applications to its graduate programs on Asian Studies and on Philippine Studies for the second semester, Academic Year 2021–2022, which starts in February 2022.
