    The UP Asian Center will be holding the onsite public lecture and exhibit "From Negatives to Narratives: The Analog Heritage of the Asian Centeron 23 February 2026, 1:00 - 3:30 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The exhibit will be displayed at the Hall of Wisdom lobby from 23 to 28 February 2026. The event is free and open to the public. Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited seating.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman will be holding—via Zoom—the international conference, “Sabang: Early Southeast Asian-European Intercultural Encounters” from 18– 20 March 2021. 

The Search Committee for the Deanship of the Asian Center shall receive nominations from 8 am of 1 March 2021 to 5 pm of 19 March 2021. Please submit the following documents in electronic copies with signatures affixed.

The articles in this EDSA issue reflect on the events of 1986 and their legacy just a few years later, and offers contemporaneous views of how EDSA 1986 was perceived, and makes for interesting reflections on how such analyses, hopes, fears, and dreams have fared more than three decades years later.

The UP Asian Center supports efforts to foster dialogue between the government and the University, as evidenced by the meeting between UP President Danilo Concepcion and DND Secretary Delfin Lorenzana and by the mutual commitment of DILG and UP to review the DILG-UP accord.

The UP Asian Center will hold the “Japanese Studies in the Philippines: A Forum and Nationwide Research Competition Year 3”  on 6 March 2021, 8 am – 3 pm, via Zoom.
