Five (5) UP Asian Center faculty members received the 2023 UP Diliman Centennial Professorial Chairs and Faculty Grants in recognition of their research and mentoring efforts in the previous year. The Asian Center, University of the Philippines in partnership with the Institute of Asian and African Studies, Lomonosov Moscow State University will hold the online international conference, “Asia Today: Meaningful Change in the Post-Pandemic Transition” on 9 - 10 November 2023, 2 – 4 PM, (GMT+8), via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public but registration is required.

The UP Asian Center successfully held a face-to-face Student Orientation for newly admitted students for the First Semester of Academic Year 2023-2024 on 30 September 2023, at the Seminar Room, GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center. The activity sought to familiarize 33 new graduate students with the Center’s academic programs and policies, resources, and facilities.
