Preserving Legacies: An Introduction of the MCM Santamaria Book Collection | Book Talk and Formal Turnover
The UP Asian Center will host the book talk, "Preserving Legacies: An Introduction of the MCM Santamaria Book Collection" and formal turnover to the Asian Center Library on 20 June 2025, 1 PM to 3 PM (GMT+8), at the Seminar Hall, Hall of Wisdom, Asian Center, UP Diliman. The event is open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to register online.

The UP Asian Center will offer free Korean language classes which will be held every Saturday starting 10 September 2022 to 17 December 2022, via Zoom. Applications for limited slots are open to all, but priority will be given to UP Asian Center students. The classes are offered courtesy of the Asia Center, Seoul National University through the generous support of Korea Foundation. The deadline of submissions is on 7 September 2022, 5:00 PM, PHT.

To support this initiative, we are publishing a consolidated material that contains details of our course offerings, course descriptions, and faculty and lecturers profiles. This serves as a resource material to guide students in planning their courses and navigating their programs at the center.

The UP Asian Center in partnership with the UN High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) will be hosting the webinar via Zoom, “Open Doors: Protection and Humanity Across Borders” on 12 August 2022, 10:00 am to 12:00 pm, Philippine Standard Time. The webinar is free and open to the public, but registration and signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required.

The UP Asian Center are calling Japan Majors of the UP Asian Center to participate in the “2022 Experience Japan: K. Matsushita Foundation Japan Study Tour.” Deadline of submissions is extended until 5 September 2022, Monday! Authors of selected outstanding essays will join an all-expense paid study tour in the Kansai area of Japan in December 2022.
