  • ANNYEONG! Free Online Intermediate Korean Language Class @ UP Asian Center

    The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the Asia Center, Seoul National University, through the generous support of the Korea Foundation, will offer free BEGINNER Korean Language classes, to be held every Saturday starting 22 August 2026, online via Zoom. The UP Asian Center in partnership with the UP Institute for Islamic Studies and the Moro-Palestinian Cooperation Team will hold the cultural festival, AHLAN WA SALAN  (Everyone is Welcome): Food Festival, Art Exhibit, and Stories of Filipino-Palestinian Families on 30 June 2024 at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Diliman. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Walk-ins are welcome, but participants are encouraged to register online.

The UP Asian Center will be holding a book talk and launch, "Sugar and the Indian Ocean World: Trade and Consumption in the Eighteenth-Century Persian Gulf" on 26 June 2024, 2:00 PM, PHT (GMT+8), via Zoom. The event is free and open to the public but signing in to a (free) Zoom account is required.

The UP Asian Center and the UP Department of Political Science held a public lecture entitled “Technology Governance and Global Innovation” on 30 April 2024 led by Dr. Virginia Bacay Watson, a Professor at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawaii. The event was formally opened by Dr. Aries A. Arugay, Chair of the Department of Political Science, UP Diliman. Professor Tina S. Clemente, Ph.D. facilitated the event and discussion.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman is looking for one (1) conference finance manager, one (1) website developer,  and one (1) graphic designer with limited engagement. The deadline for applications is EXTENDED to 24 June 2024. This is open to the public.
