    The UP Asian Center and the Embassy of Vietnam in the Philippines will be hosting the onsite symposium, "From Neighbors to Partners: Celebrating 50 Years of Philippines-Vietnam Relations" on 18 August 2026, 2 PM, PHT, at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center.   • ANNYEONG! Free Online Intermediate Korean Language Class @ UP Asian Center

    The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the Asia Center, Seoul National University, through the generous support of the Korea Foundation, will offer free BEGINNER Korean Language classes, to be held every Saturday starting 22 August 2026, online via Zoom. Applications for limited slots are open to AC Korea Majors, Asian Center students, and UP students. The deadline for applications is on 14 August 2026, 11:59 PM, PHT.

The UP Asian Center in partnership with the UP Institute for Islamic Studies and the Moro-Palestinian Cooperation Team will hold the cultural festival, AHLAN WA SALAN  (Everyone is Welcome): Food Festival, Art Exhibit, and Stories of Filipino-Palestinian Families on 30 June 2024 at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Diliman. The UP Asian Center and the UP Department of Political Science held a public lecture entitled “Technology Governance and Global Innovation” on 30 April 2024 led by Dr. Virginia Bacay Watson, a Professor at the Asia-Pacific Center for Security Studies in Honolulu, Hawaii. The event was formally opened by Dr. Aries A. Arugay, Chair of the Department of Political Science, UP Diliman. Professor Tina S. Clemente, Ph.D. facilitated the event and discussion.
