The UP Asian Center is now accepting applications for the August/September 2024 intake (First Semester, Academic Year 2024-2025). The deadline for application is on 12 July 2024.

The UP Asian Center is now accepting abstract submissions for the 2024 AC Graduate Student Conference, “Asia in an Era of (Un)Certainties: Transitions and Trajectories.” The deadline for submission is on 15 May 2024, Wednesday, 5:00 PM. The conference is open only for the students of the UP Asian Center and TriCollege Ph.D. Philippine Studies Program.

The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the UP-CIFAL Philippines, will be holding a forum, "Bridging the Gender Health Gap: A Forum on Addressing Period Poverty in the Philippines" on 9 May 2024, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM (PH Time, GMT+8) at the GT-Toyota Asian Cultural Center Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public. Online registration is encouraged.

The UP Asian Center has been selected as one of the recipients of books and materials by the Japan Foundation Grant Program 2023. Under the Japan Foundation Grant Program for Japanese Studies Projects (Library Support), a total of 39 books were donated to the UP Asian Center Library on 1 April 2024.

The UP Asian Center has been selected as one of the recipients of materials by the Read Japan Project. The impressive collection covered the fields Japanese Culture and HistoryJapanese contemporary societyand even Japanese architecture. A total of fifty-four (54) books were donated to the UP Asian Center Library on 26 March 2024.
