    The UP Asian Center will be holding the onsite public lecture and exhibit "From Negatives to Narratives: The Analog Heritage of the Asian Centeron 23 February 2026, 1:00 - 3:30 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The exhibit will be displayed at the Hall of Wisdom lobby from 23 to 28 February 2026. The event is free and open to the public. Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited seating.

Three Korea majors from the Asian Center recently participated in two major conferences on Korea Studies in Seoul, South Korea in May and July 2025.

The UP Asian Center is organizing the exhibit and curator's talk, “Unwrapping Japanese Culture Through the Tenugui Textile: An Exhibit of Japanese Hand-Dyed Cloth” on 20 August 2025, 1 PM to 3 PM (GMT+8), ONSITE at the UP Asian Center. The exhibit and a pop-up store will run from 18 to 23 August 2025, 11 AM to 5 PM at the UP Asian Center.  The event is free and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to register online.

The UP Asian Center in collaboration with the Ramon Magsaysay Transformative Leadership Institute is organizing the panel discussion, “Growing Up with Ghibli: Transnational Legacies of Hayao Miyazaki” on 18 August 2025, 1 PM to 4 PM (GMT+8), ONSITE at the UP Asian Center. The UP Asian Center continues to expand its global academic network through active student exchange programs with its three partner institutions established under existing Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs): South China Normal University, University of Tehran, and University of Jordan. These partnerships open rich opportunities for students (particularly for Asian Center students specializing in Northeast and West Asia) to engage in cross-cultural learning, deepen their regional expertise, and gain valuable international experience.

The Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman is looking for graduate assistants for the Office of the Dean, External Affairs, and the Research and Publications Office for the First Semester, AY 2024–2025. The deadline for applications is 14 August 2025. This is open to all UP Diliman graduate students. AC graduate students are highly encouraged to apply.
