    The UP Asian Center will be holding the onsite public lecture and exhibit "From Negatives to Narratives: The Analog Heritage of the Asian Centeron 23 February 2026, 1:00 - 3:30 PM, PST (GMT+8), at the Seminar Room, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The exhibit will be displayed at the Hall of Wisdom lobby from 23 to 28 February 2026. The event is free and open to the public. Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited seating.

The UP Asian Center is releasing its guidelines for the First Semester, Academic Year 2025-2026. We are currently implementing Phase 3 of the curriculum revisions for our Asian Studies and Philippine Studies programs. Click on the button below.  

The UP Asian Center is now accepting abstract submissions for Japanese Studies in the Philippines: The 8th Japanese Studies Research Development Competition. Undergraduate and graduate students currently enrolled in Philippine Universities may submit any topic related to Japanese Studies can be submitted (except topics that focus solely on natural sciences, medical sciences, and engineering). The deadline for submissions is EXTENDED to 12 September 2025, 5:00 PM, PHT.

The UP Asian Center in partnership with the Asia Center, Seoul National University through the generous support of the Korea Foundation, will offer a free BEGINNER Korean Language classes to be held every Tuesday starting 12 August 2025 to 18 November 2024, Online via Zoom. Applications for limited slots are open to AC Korea Majors, Asian Center students, and UP students. The deadline for registration for AC and UP Students is on 4 August 2025, 11:59 PM, PHT.
