The UP Asian Center, in collaboration with the UPD Office for Initiatives in Culture and the Arts and the UP College of Fine Arts, will hold the "Tampat Pag-addatan Sahaya: Place, Tradition and Light," featuring a lecture demonstration, performances, and an exhibit launch on 6 June 2024, 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM, at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Asian Center, University of the Philippines Diliman. The event is free and open to the public. Online pre-registration is recommended due to limited seating availability.

TriCollege Ph.D. Philippine Studies Program alumna, Dr. Marichu C. Liwanag was appointed as the new Deputy Director General of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) – Foreign Service Institute (FSI). As deputy director general, she will be responsible for leading the administrative programs and projects of the institute and aligning its operations with internationally accepted standards.

The UP Asian Center will hold the 2024 Graduate Student Conference with the theme “Asia in an Era of (Un)Certainties: Transitions and Trajectories” on 1 June 2024 at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Asian Center. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is first come, first served. Walk-ins are welcome, but participants are encouraged to register online.

The UP Asian Center, Sasakawa Peace Foundation, and the International Development and Security Cooperation (IDSC) in partnership with the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff for Civil-Military Operations, J7 (OJ7), Armed Forces of the Philippines will host the roundtable discussion, Deradicalization of the Violent Extremists in Achieving Lasting Peace in Marawi on 24 May 2024, at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Asian Center. The event is by-invitation only.
