The UP Asian Center, in partnership with the UP Bangsamoro Studies Group, will be hosting an on-site lecture "Reflections on Zamboanga. War, commerce, and faith in a Spanish frontier region (1635-1805)" on 18 June 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM, PHT (GMT+8) at the Seminar Room, Asian Center, UP Diliman. Eight UP Asian Center faculty members were named UP Social Scientists / UP Scholars in recognition of their scholarly achievements in the social sciences and philosophy. The award was granted in two batches, 2023-2025 and 2024-2026.

The UP Asian Center will hold the 2026 Graduate Student Conference: "Navigating a New World Order: Turbulence, and Transformation in Asia" on 30 May 2026, 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM, PHT (GMT+8) at the GT-Toyota Asian Center Auditorium, UP Asian Center. The event is free and open to the public. Seating is first-come, first-served. Walk-ins are welcome, but participants are encouraged to register online.
